Drop-Off Procedure
Please park each morning in the Red/Blue parking lot to drop off your child. Click here to see a Parking Map.
For Monday check-in only - enter through the closest door to the parking lot. Parents & participants will enter through this first door (marked by orange flags) to check-in and get their folder.
Two copies of a drop-off/dismissal card for each participant will be included in their folder at registration check-in. You must bring this card each day to drop-off and pick up participants. We suggest you take a picture of your drop-off/dismissal card so that you have it on you at all times and can present it on your smart phone. Please note that the picture must be clear with the child’s name, team color & group and QR code readable.
Once parents have removed the drop-off/dismissal cards from the folder, they should continue down the hallway to the rear doors of the Worship Center. You will need to show the Drop-off/Dismissal Card for each participant to enter and drop them off at their designated place. It is very important that the Drop-Off/Dismissal Card for each participant is scanned as you enter each morning to be sure we know who is present.
At all other times after first morning check-in, entry will only be allowed through the 2nd set of doors on the Red/Blue parking lot side of the building (under the covered drop off). All other entry doors will be locked for security.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. - PLAN TO BE EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH!
Bring your child to the Worship Center each day before 9:00 a.m. Click here to see the Dropoff Map. We will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. but cannot be responsible for children left before 8:30 a.m. Drop off & pickup will be arranged by color so please know your child’s color (printed on your drop-off/dismissal card) and look at the map carefully before you come to pick up your child.
If you need to locate your child for any reason, you will need to come to the information table in the Gatheria. You MUST check-in with a photo ID and receive a guest nametag.
Late arriving children must be signed in at the registration table in the Gatheria. You will need to present a Drop-Off/Dismissal card and your photo ID.
Dismissal Procedures:
You must bring a Drop-off/Dismissal card each day to pick up participants. We suggest you take a picture of your Drop-off/Dismissal card (found in the front pocket of each participant's folder on Monday morning) and present it on your smart phone.
If someone else is dropping off or picking up your child, please pass along a Drop-Off/Dismissal card or picture of the card to them. If you need to add an approved pickup, send an email request to SummerSing@idlewild.org from the email address listed in your registration.
Please note that pickup times are 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Participants who need to leave early must be signed out at the Registration Table in the Gatheria. You will need to present a photo ID and your dismissal card.
Early Dismissal: If you need to pick up your child early, the latest time to do so is 2:45 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 2:15 p.m. on Thursday and 12:45 p.m. on Friday. Be sure to arrive at the registration table 15 minutes prior to give us time to locate and send someone to get your child out of the activity they are in.
Teams - Children are placed on color “teams” for the week
Participants will have opportunities to earn points for their team during the day and at home.
Please be sure you know your child’s team color (they will get this at check-in on the 1st day of SummerSing). This will help with pick-up, etc.
Each team will learn a cheer and have their own team flag.
Your child will also have the opportunity to earn points by
o Doing devotions in their folders,
o Memorizing Bible verses,
o Participating in their classes and rehearsals,
o Wearing their team color (they will get a team t-shirt at the end of the 1st day but it’s always fun to accessorize)!
o Bringing back papers/homework
o Bringing in items for this year’s SummerSing donation project
