Family Night - Thursday, July 18th

• Enter through the Red/Blue parking lot side of building (same one you bring your child to each morning)

• You can see firsthand what your child has accomplished in their classes throughout the week as well as enjoy a musical presentation.  This evening is an important part of the whole SummerSing experience.  If your child is unable to attend, please let us know BEFORE that week.  We don’t want others to be affected by this decision.

• Family Night Schedule

o 5:00 - 6:30 - Family Dinner in the Gatheria (see below for that information)

o 6:00 - 6:55 Sneak Peek - Most classes will have a display and/or the leader of the classes represented at tables up on the terrace of the Gatheria; Come meet the leaders, get information and see what your child has done in their classes.  You can also see what other classes offer so your child can decide what classes they might want to choose next year!

o 6:55 Everyone to Worship Center - All participants in choir loft, performing groups on stage - All participants will need to be dressed in their SummerSing t-shirt, and longer denim skirts, skorts, pants, or shorts. (They will receive their SummerSing t-shirt on the first day of classes)

o 7:00 Countdown

o 7:05 Welcome

o 7:15 Videos & Live performances,

o 7:35 Mini-musical

• Family Night Dinner - The meal will be provided by Calusa Pizza and includes Baked Ziti with meat sauce, salad, garlic knot, brownie and a drink for $10.  Food will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. on SummerSing Family Night, 7/18.  The meal is optional, so if participants would like to eat with their families they will need to purchase a ticket.  Click on the link below to purchase your tickets.   We usually sell out so be sure to buy your tickets early! https://brushfire.com/idlewild/childrens-music/573036/tickets

SummerSing Text Reminders

We have set up a Remind text/email group to keep you up to date with important information and reminders about SummerSing.  If you would like to receive text/email reminders there are two ways you can sign up

• If you have children in the 2nd/3rd Grade age group (completed 2nd or 3rd Grade or in both age groups) you may text @SS24gr23 to 81010 or from a web browser go the following link and enter your name and email or texting number:  https://www.remind.com/join/SS24gr23.

• If you have children in the 4th/5th Grade age group (completed 4th or 5th Grade) you may text @SS24gr45 to 81010 or from a web browser go the following link and enter your name and email or texting number:  https://www.remind.com/join/SS24gr45.

• Both groups will have the same notifications so if you have multiple children participating, please join only one of them.  Joining both will send you duplicate reminders.  

Water Bottles

Water will be available at snack time and lunch, and students may stop by a water fountain between classes.  If your child would like to have water with them at all times throughout the day, they should plan to bring their own water bottle marked with their name each day to SummerSing.  We also suggest that students bring a small bag or backpack marked with their name that they can use to carry their water bottle, folders, etc.
