There is a lot to be done between now and when camp starts on July 15th, so to avoid overwhelming you with too much information at a time, we will be sending you emails regularly with information you need to know. Keep an eye out each week for personalized information updates in your email from SummerSing@idlewild.org. The general information in each email will also be posted here shortly after each message is sent.

You may add lunches, but we must have lunch reservations & payment ($7.00 per day) no later than June 14. We will be unable to refund your money after that date. Pizza lunch on Friday is provided as part of your registration. (If you are bringing your lunch, be sure to clearly mark it with your first and last name.)

T-SHIRT ORDERS: Each participant will be assigned a team color on Monday (7/15) and will get their shirt at the end of the day to help them in dressing the rest of the week in their team color. You may click here to see what t-shirt size you ordered. T-shirts are available in sizes ranging from Youth Medium to Adult XX-Large. Please email us at SummerSing@idlewild.org by 06/01 if you need to change your t-shirt size.
AUDITIONS: All SummerSing participants will learn songs from the musical and be a part of the mini-musical presentation on Family Night, Thursday evening, 7/18. Only those who would like to have a special part (solo or speaking part) will need to prepare and audition. Auditions for special parts will take place on Tuesday, June 11, at 6:30pm in Room #A214 - Children’s Building. If you are interested in auditioning for a special part, please be sure to prepare as outlined in the audition details. Click here to see audition details and sample monologues.
CLASSES: Your child will receive their schedule of classes on the first day of SummerSing EXCEPT for classes like Guitar, Organ, Say Cheese, Scrapbooking, Violin, etc. Because in some classes you will need to prepare or provide something, we will let you know if you are in one of those classes 2 weeks before SummerSing.
All completed 2nd/3rd Graders (unless they have auditioned for & received a special part) will have 2 “choice” classes, 1 rehearsal class, and 1 games class. All completed 4th/5th graders (unless they have auditioned for & received a special part) will have 3 “choice” classes plus a rehearsal class. Click here to see a sample schedule for the day.
Remember that all classes are not available at all class hours for each grade level. If we can’t fill your class schedule with your registered choices, we will contact you via email. We are doing our best to schedule the classes you signed up for based upon your registration date, but please be willing to enjoy whichever classes we can fit you in. They will all be fun, and you will learn something exciting! There will be no refunds offered.
