One of Anna's long-time goals was to organize a performing dance troupe. Her efforts are paying off and her dream is now becoming reality.

Our Dancers

"Lunazul" - Dancer, Promotional Coordinator, and Troupe Techie

Lunazul remembers watching the introductory video sequence of the TV series "Hawaii Five-0" as a youngster and trying to shake her hips like those hula dancers. Although she didn't have the opportunity to take dance lessons earlier in life, she has always loved to dance. Lunazul is no stranger to the stage. She has had experience acting in plays such as "Romeo and Juliette - The Musical" and "This Must Be the Place," both directed by The Little Theater on Broad Street, as well as singing and playing guitar in benefit shows, contests, and other performance opportunities. She began taking bellydance lessons with Anna in 2013 and enjoys dancing with the troupe. She chose the name "Lunazul" which translates to "Blue Moon," as it is smoother to pronounce than several non-English translations of "Blue Eyes." In addition to creating some of her own jewelry, clothing, and costumes, her hobbies include crochet, reflexology, singing, playing guitar, carpentry, designing ambigrams, graphic arts, and web design. One of her ambigrams is featured in our Marketplace

"Halla" - Dancer

Halla discovered her love of performing in High School where her extroverted personality began to emerge. In 2012, Anna introduced her to Middle Eastern Dance, which allowed her to dance as if everyone were watching. Through bellydance, she was able to indulge in her life-long desire of "All Things Glitter." She chose the name "Halla" because it translates to "Sweet."

"Lilith" - Dancer

Lilith began bellydancing consistently in 2017 and has not looked back. She has always had a deep-founded love for the arts and enjoys attending the theater and the opera, visiting museums, and supporting the Coney Island Mermaid Parade -- the county's largest art parade. She holds a bachelors degree in field biology and environmental science and a masters degree in environmental science and works as an environmental scientist and project manager for an international consulting company. She also enjoys hockey (GO RANGERS!!), downhill skiing, trapshooting, motorcycling and scuba diving.
