Bit.ly is a URL shortener Suffolk DSA uses to make links both easy to remember and to share!

You can find most Suffolk DSA shortened links at bit.ly/SCDSA-ShortenedLinks.

SC uses a free plan through the chapter email (google sig-in). But Cm/WG co-chairs can also sign up for free plans with their chapter emails if they want to make shortened links for any of their projects. If your Cm/WG does not want to sign up for a bitly account but wants a shortened link for an event/campaign/etc., get in touch with the Secretary (subject line "bitly link please" or something similar).

You can (and absolutely should!) customize the URL from the alpha-numeric URL bitly generates. When you customize a bit.ly remember that they are case sensitive. For easy readability you should capitalize words to differentiate them (i.e. CapitalizeWordsToDifferentiateThem), this is also similar to how you should write out #Hashtags in social media posts for accessibility.
