Homestay Program
About the program
Are you interested in living the Mexican culture to its fullest during the exchange? In this program you and your host family will share your cultures by living together, giving you the chance to develop abilities of intercultural communication, fostering tolerance and acceptance of cultural diversity.
What does the program include?
You will be matched with a Mexican family according to your personal living preferences. The program includes one individual room, three meals per day, and all basic services such as internet, gas, water, and laundry. Along with the opportunity to experience Mexican culture firsthand.
What can you expect about the program?
I highly suggest staying with a host family, as it makes the new country feel like home, almost immediately. In addition to this, you will improve your Spanish and learn about Mexican culture much faster living with a family and may even luck out and have host siblings and dogs like me!
My family gave me advice on what to bring for trips, and how to save money, helped me learn how to cook some Mexican food, and provided community and wisdom during my stay in Querétaro. They are very considerate, kind people who want you to have the best experience possible. Now that I have left the program, I find that my host family is who I miss most of all.

Are you interested in participating in the Homestay Program during the Summer or Fall terms? You must fill out the form to make the match with your new family.
Once you arrive a contract will be signed between the family and the student, ensuring both parties agree with the terms.
