Getting Started

To begin A new project:

1. Open Microsoft Photos from the start menu:

2. MS Photos will open on the “Collection” page. If your project folder is stored in the Pictures folder, your footage and/or images will automatically appear on this page:

3. If your footage is stored somewhere else on your computer, you will need to go to the “Folders” tab and click on “Add a folder”:

4. Click on “Create” in the top right hand corner of the application screen and sect “Custom video with music” from the dropdown menu:

5. Select at least one video clip or image you wish to use in your video, then click on “Create” in the top right hand corner of the screen:

6. You will be prompted to name your video:

7. IMPORTANT: MS Photos will automatically try to edit a video with your selected clips. To remove this auto-edited version, click on “Remove all” in the storyboard section:

8. You will now have a blank storyboard and you are ready to begin editing your video:

9. Drag your clips and images one by one into the storyboard in the order you want them to appear:
