Student Service Travel LLC provides all students with unique, authentic, and meaningful travel experiences by connecting them with local students, community members, and small business owners in the host country. Through their daily interactions in service work and recreational activities, students will expand their worldview, learning about other cultures, practicing the target language, and building lasting relationships.

WHAT MAKES THIS EXPERIENCE UNIQUE

Pre established, long- lasting relationships with the host communities

Over many years, we have worked with the same communities and service providers. As a result, we have built strong relationships with high levels of confidence and trust.

Direct connection with host communities and service providers

Throughout the planning process, we communicate directly with the community members, organizations, lodging providers, and restaurants. Not only does this mean that we are supporting local businesses, but it also means that the experiences are tailored to meet the needs of our group.

Set schedules that can be flexible based on the needs of the group

As you will see in our sample itineraries (see FAQs), our days are packed with varied activities. Still, we have the flexibility to make changes as needed based on the needs of the group. Rather than cancel activities due to unforeseen circumstances, we aim to reschedule and rework. This makes the experience of traveling with 24 other people feel much more personal.

Pre-trip meetings to provide team building and trip prep opportunities

For some students, this is their first time traveling abroad and/or without family. We aim to lessen these anxieties with multiple pre-trip meetings and a Bon voyage potluck party. Students will have the opportunity to work together and prepare for the trip far before arriving at the airport. Parents will also have the chance to ask questions and connect with other parents during the Potluck.
