Visual Web Design (ARTS 2840) explores the relationship between design and interactivity through web-based interfaces. Students learn how the elements and principles of design impact the user experience while producing projects for computers and mobile devices using current technologies and practices.
Old Design / New Context
For this assignment students were assigned a historical design period or style and then asked to design a web page that evoked the aesthetic and design qualities of that period or style.
Do The Thing!
For this assignment students created simple JavaScript apps that were based on a one button interface. What the app did when the button was pressed was up to the students, but they were encouraged to make the experience as engaging as possible.
