Services for Kent will be at 10am Saturday, August 1st here at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Pastor Bill Pavuk will officiate. Livestreaming will be available on our YouTube Channel (@stpaulsgi) and Facebook page. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cairo, NE. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7 PM Friday, July 31st, here at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week of Sunday August 2nd 2026

TOWN HALL MEETING:

On Sunday, August 2nd, Pastor Jeff will host his annual “State of St Pauls” meeting, at halftime, in the Fellowship Hall.

BACKPACK AND TEACHER BLESSING:

We will have this annual tradition on Sunday, August 9th, at both services. Janel has a special gift for the backpacks!

PASTOR BILL’S LAST SUNDAY:

is Sunday August 16th. We will have one service at 9:30am, then enjoy a catered meal & fellowship after. Join us!

YOUTH EVENTS:

Sunday July 26th, 4:30pm: Cook-out at the Wiegert Home. Bring a side/dessert to share, some drinks, and a chair. Both parents and kids are invited for some fellowship and fun!
Friday August 7th, 7am-7:30pm: Henry Doorly Zoo. Please RSVP in Church Center or let Jill know you want to go. Cost is $30.
Wednesday August 19th, 6:30pm: Confirmation Meeting for parents and students (Middle School only)
Wednesday August 19th, 7pm: Youth Meeting for parents and students (High School and Middle School)

STATE FAIR WORSHIP:

The 10:30 worship will be out at the fairgrounds on Sunday, August 30th.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Food boxes will be delivered this week to Chrysalis. There is still time to donate $60 if you like. Please write “Food boxes” on the envelope and/or memo line of your check (or donate online).

Comparative Studies: On Sundays at halftime (9:40am to 10:20am). Pastor Jeff will resume teaching the class on Sunday September 13th and will continue to study other religions (Buddhism, Judaism, etc.) 📍Education Room
