Secondary Subject Knowledge

In 2017/18, we ran a series of monthly drop ins. These were twilight sessions for teachers and trainees to improve their mathematical knowledge and discuss pedagogy and teaching and learning ideas on specific topics.

Primary Subject Knowledge

Stoke MEP has run twilight CPD sessions focusing on subject knowledge enhancement in individual schools. 

The focus has been on the statutory requirements for each year group from years 3-6, methodology and sequencing of teaching, teaching tips and strategies, variety of questioning and practice, resources to share and common misconceptions

Sessions which have been offered have included:-

• Special numbers and associated problems

• Measures

• Area and Perimeter
