ACME LAUNCH OF EXPERT PANEL REPORT

In January 2016, the Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education (ACME) convened an expert panel to consider the mathematics-specific knowledge needed by all teachers to progress in their career as a teacher of mathematics, at primary, secondary and Further Education levels. The Expert Panel was chaired by Robert Barbour. The Expert Panel has prepared a report, which sets out key principles on professional learning for all teachers of mathematics and how schools and colleges can foster such learning through personalised support and collaborative learning groups.

The launch of the Expert Panel’s report was held on 7 December 2016 at Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, Stoke-on-Trent. The report is available here.
