VISION STATEMENT

MISSION STATEMENT

ONE WORD GOAL - RESPONSIBILITY

My one word goal for 2025 is responsibility. Now that I'm 16, I must aim to get a job, work on my driver's license and be more punctual with my work. Soon enough, I'll be going to college and I need to raise the money for that. I also have to focus on my work in school to ensure that I'll have a successful future. It's a simple goal that I can work on.

SHORT TERM GOALS

I plan to graduate from Simon Sanchez High School with a High School Diploma in June, 2026, with a 3.5 g.p.a. or better and also earn a GCC Certificate of Mastery in Hospitality & Tourism Management Program.

I also plan to complete 180 hours of work experience in a hotel or restaurant by 2026 and maintain 80% or better in my CTE courses. I undertsand that I can do that with the help of my classmates, family, and teacher.

LONG TERM GOALS

I will enroll in the University of Las Vegas in spring, 2026, and I plan to major in Hospitality. I plan to graduate with my bachelor's degree in June, 2030. I may transfer off-island to go to another college to pursue further education, specifically film school. I may work part-time in the hospitality industry while I attend college. My long-term career goal is to be a movie maker, and create a full length feature film that will premiere in a film festival.

Like everyone, I have my own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

STRENGTHS

I can do something I really want to do if I dedicate my mind to it.
I am also fairly smart, I was a top 30 student in my freshmen year, and I can achieve straight A's if I focus.

WEAKNESSES

I don't do well under pressure, I can easily panic and get nervous. I prefer to work in a cool and relaxed environment.
I also lack confidence, I don't do well standing before large crowds with all eyes on me.

OPPORTUNITIES

Now that I am enrolled in Simon Sanchez's Hospitality and Tourism Program, it gives me many service learning opportunities that will bring me multiple steps closer to graduation.
It can also give me many great tasks that will give me a good look once I add them onto my resume.

THREATS

Some things that can threaten my path include running into the wrong people. I can get influenced by some not-so-cool people to start vaping, start smoking, get a cocaine addiction, get expelled from school, and I could even get involved in a gang war. These are threats I should avoid if I want to live a long and successful life.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone should be realistic. Not all dreams are meant to last. That's why you must always have an opportunity prepared. If one fails, and you don't have a backup plan, you might fall into a depressed state. That's why you must always plan ahead of time.

My passion is football, I hope to exercise, get fit, and gain confidence so that I can try out and successfully join the Simon Sanchez Football Team as the 2nd choice goalkeeper. Football is my passion, especially goalkeeping. I hope that I can prove to be a strong face on the team if I ever manage to join. I hope that we could finish at the top of the league by the end of the season. I only have 3 years to accomplish this.
