I did a Star Wars theme for these coasters. The ones on the top left were given out as Christmas gifts to my family. The ones that are on the bottom left and right were the ones that I kept. I put a clear finish over all of them so that the condensation and drippage from the cups would not ruin them.
My favorite coaster was a bit more complex but still got the job done. I made each coaster into a puzzle piece. It was not hard since it was only four pieces. All that had to be done was copy and paste the four pieces and then lay the design over them. This is my favorite coaster.
After the fact I'm still conflicted if I should've left the design to be confined within the circle. I still think it looks great, but i still have my second thoughts.
This is not a coaster but it is another small laser project that I did freshman year. This was the first project that I did in high school. When I was designing it on the computer I didn't pay attention to how big my canvas was or the dimensions of the J. So when I put it through the laser the top circle which was meant for the string was too big for the J and too small for the string. This was a very rude awakening to the phrase measure twice and cut once.
