My name is Stefani Bush and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
As you explore my portfolio, you will find my evolution as a student as well as evidence of my passion and growth of my knowledge in this field. I hope that my educational journey will inspire you to want to learn more about me and also the field I am so passionate about. Psychology helps us not only understand ourselves and others, but also the world around us.
My goal with my degree is to unravel the complexities found within this ever expanding field so that I may be able to utilize what I learn to help empower others as they embark on journeys of their own through self discovery and healing.
Throughout the course of my academic journey, I have learned the ways in which we come to understand the world around us, the ways in which we connect with others personally and professionally, the ways in which we are motivated and how to motivate others, and the ways in which we can grow as professionals, but more importantly, as human beings. To me, being able to grow myself has been the biggest and most significant rung in my academic ladder. I have learned so much about how I can be an agent for positive change in my home, community, and the workplace. By becoming a better leader and a more emotionally intelligent individual, I can then apply all of the skills and knowledge I’ve learned to be an effective change agent that will help to foster strong connections that will enhance performance and outcomes, not just in the professional setting, but also in my community and my home.
One of my areas that I focused on throughout my degree process was the development of soft skills. These skills (things such as time management, networking, emotional intelligence, and communication) are all critical components that will take you from ‘surviving’ to in a professional environment to thriving in one. The ability to be adaptable and empathetic, to understand your motives and behaviors in partnership with your decisions, to manage your time effectively, to be a consensus builder and a team player, as well as an effective communicator will ensure that you stand out and shine the light of leadership, respect, and resolve to being the best professional that you can be, not just on the superficial level in the workplace, but on a deep and personal level with all you interact with.
