From 14:50 to 17:00 is the storyboard for the bacteriophage and antibiotics section of the Minecraft game

Students examine two different rooms, one where antibiotic treatment is used, and other where a new kind of treatment: bacteriophage treatment is used

• Students learn how antibiotics kill not only harmful bacteria, but the body's own gut biome as well

• This can be paired with discussion activities around the negative effects of using antibiotics in the body, and can be a good segue into antibiotic resistance

Teachers can use the Java edition of Minecraft if allowed by school computers, or the education edition specifically set up for use in the classroom. This resource includes a variety of games beyond the one on antibiotics, including a superbug game and a game on symbiosis
