Using General Linear Model (univariate) menu in SPSS

Overview: Multiple regression and analysis of variance are often treated as unrelated statistical procedures in applied research. However, regression analysis an be considered as the General Linear Model (GLM; see Thompson, 2015), with univariate analysis of variance being subsumed within the GLM (Cohen, 1968), The videos below demonstrate the relationship between regression and univariate ANOVA via the regression menu and Genera Linear Model menu in SPSS. I analyze the same data using both of these menu options. Additionally, in Video 1 I demonstrate various options that are available to you (should you wish to model your data with SPSS) for (a) testing for heteroskedastic errors using Breusch-Pagan tests, the White test, and an F-test and (b) performing your regression using heteroskedasticity consistent errors. All demonstrations are based on SPSS Version 25 (Premium edition). These latter analyses are not available through the conventional regression menu options.
