Paired samples t-test

Description: The paired-samples t-test (also referred to as dependent-samples or correlated-samples t-test) is used to test the difference in means involving observations from two correlated samples. A classic use of this test is involves analysis of change over time (e.g., pre-test to post-test) on a dependent measure for a single group of individuals. The procedure makes assumptions concerning the distribution of difference scores (computed as the difference between paired observations), including independence and normality.
