 So many members, so many achievements take a look at some of the highlights below:

Awards were given out at the Christmas Party:

        Alison Borman and Carole Boag both secured themselves an achievement award for their efforts through the year.
        Kate Williams won the shield for her efforts in 2023

Most Improved Male Runner – Harry Stallard
Most Improved Lady Runner – Courtney Marks

• Achievement Awards

Shell Dunn – for completing the full GP, plus the 100 mile Purple Gecko Series

Clive Gibbs – for all his hard work on the website revamp and associated 'wizzardry'

Gwen Maggs – stepping up and being a really positive captain

Jo Rich – for all her hard work in helping with races

• Nutters Award

This was an award set up by Gary Player, its’ purpose is to acknowledge a member who has quietly contributed to the club throughout the year.  This year for the continued promotion and championing of the MTRS series, the committee would like to acknowledge and thank James Youlden.  Your work is paying off - you have inspired many more people from the club to join you and the rest of the team ‘off road’ and into the mud sand field and trails!

• • • • Runners Runner

Each year we ask YOU, the club members to nominate who you feel is deserving of this award.  This could be because they've been inspirational to you for their efforts and achievements.  Because they've been supportive of you in your efforts and ambitions, or because you have seen their input into any part of their club.

Very deserving this year to win was Jacqui Martin.

First Achievements

• Gwen Maggs for completing her first Marathon (London) and her first Duathlon 

• Jules Williams completing her first Marathon (London) and her first Ultra 

• Courtney Marks, James Stephens & Mike Counter for first Marathon (Cornish)

• Harry Stallard for first Half Marathon (Porto)

• Shell Dunn and Sam Ewart for first Ultra (Smugglers Way)

Half Marathon

• Debra Gibbs achieved her 50th Half Marathon event in July

• Clive & Debra Gibbs achieved completing a Half Marathon race every month in 2023

Marathon

• • • Martin Trethewey , Debbie Marshall, Nigel Marshall, Liam Donelly, James Youlden, Jamie Masters, Jules Williams, Gwen Maggs, Jon Fletcher & Steve Hill for completing the London Marathon

Ultra

• • • Karina Bowers completing the 100 mile Arc of Attrition in January

    • Paul Johnson, Armando Viera & Dave Speake for completing the Lakeland 100 miles in July

 A Club Star is awarded for every 500 miles ran (in official races and registered as a STARC entry). Mileage is collated and the following people have reached some milestones:
