Our program would not be possible without our Wonderful Volunteer 'Disciples'. Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas to help maintain a successful program.
All volunteers must complete, and have on file at the parish, the required state clearances and Archdiocesan checks and trainings. Please click this link to review what is required before volunteers can begin serving.
We welcome all who would like to serve our parish children and their families. In particular, volunteers to serve as Parking Lot Assistants, Hall Monitors, Aides and Catechists for our traditional, weekly sessions on Wednesdays and Hall Monitors, Aides and Catechists for our monthly Sunday sessions are needed.
Current openings: Wednesdays - Parking Lot assistance at arrival, Hall Monitors, Aides Level 2, Aide Level 5, 6
Sundays - Hall Monitors, Aide Level 1 & 2, Catechists Levels 1, 2, 4, 6
Please review the information below and prayerfully consider if God is calling you to serve our parish through the youth faith formation program. If you are unable to commit to serving weekly, please consider whether you would be available to serve once or twice a month or as a sub.
Catechists: are volunteers who love children and our Catholic faith and would like to share their love of Jesus and his Church with our parish children and their families. Become a catechist if you have the desire to learn and grow in your own faith as you share the Catholic faith with our children. Preparation for each class is required, but we offer plenty of support and many resources to assist you.
Catechist Aides: are volunteers who assist the Catechist with lessons and activities. Serving as an Aide is a wonderful way to gain experience and insight for possibly teaching in the future. Classroom aides are expected to sub the class if the lead catechist is unavailable.
Parking Lot Aide (Wednesday ONLY): This position is essential for the safety of our children. This position involves assisting with the traffic flow in the Church parking lot during arrival, and helping children in and out of their cars.
Hall Monitor: This position requires being available to help our Catechists and children during our sessions.
Current PA State Clearances for all volunteers age 18 and older must be on file with our Parish Safe Environment Coordinator prior to beginning service.
