Financial Wellbeing

There are a number of support services in place within the Trust, as well as across our region and nationally, that are provided by external organisations and charities. To help guide you to what is available, we have developed a toolkit that provides information on some of the services and support that may be helpful to you.

Financial Wellbeing Toolkit

Our financial wellbeing toolkit outlines all of the available support inside and outside of NUH. Financial Wellbeing Toolkit

Salary Finance

You may remember that we previously worked with a partner called Neyber to support your financial wellbeing. We are pleased to announce they now form the UK’s largest financial wellbeing company, called Salary Finance.

Through Salary Finance, you have access to the same benefits as before - just with a new name!

To find out more and apply, visit home.salaryfinance.com/nuh

If you have a product with Neyber, don’t worry - your product will continue to work in the same way but any communications about it will be from Salary Finance. You’ll receive further information about this from Salary Finance, including how to access your new Salary Finance account.

Important: This is an option, not a recommendation. Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust does not warrant or assess any of the financial products you may be offered, nor do we  benefit from offering this service. All your communications and contracting arrangements will be with Salary Finance. Loan applications will be assessed to ensure the loan is appropriate and affordable for you. “Learn” content is for guidance and educational purposes only and is generic in nature. Salary Finance does not offer regulated financial advice. Your use of products is solely at your own risk.

If in doubt, please seek independent financial advice from a registered financial adviser.

Gambling Awareness

We want our staff to gamble safely, so please remember these key messages:

·         Treat gambling as a fun activity or social event, not a way to win big Understand the odds and costs of the game you’re playing.

·         Have fun but give yourself a limit of how long you want to gamble for and how much you want to spend.

·         Only gamble with money that you can afford to lose, and don’t gamble to try and make money or to pay back debts.

·         Keep up with other hobbies, interests, and responsibilities, and make time for your friends, family and other people around you.

·         Understand the terms and conditions of promotions offering free bets before you play.

·         If you choose to gamble, use regulated operators.

If you are not sure how much gambling has become a problem for you, use an online gambling assessment tool: https://www.gamcare.org.uk/understanding-gambling- problems/self-assessment-tool/
