This works out at around 83p a day and is over £200 cheaper than NET's standard offer. The pass can be purchased by any staff member, or any employee/student who uses NUH campuses for their work.

We only have a limited stock available, however if we sell out we will look at extending the offer

Who can purchase?

The pass can be purchased by any staff member, or any employee/student who uses NUH campuses for their work.

How can I purchase?

Directly employed by NUH – If you are directly employed by NUH you can apply for the travel to work scheme and pay for the pass through monthly salary deductions (£25 per month). You can apply using this link; NUH Travel To Work Scheme

Indirectly employed – If you are not employed by NUH you are still able to purchase our pass. You can do this payment in person at Cashiers by Card, Cash or Cheque (we accept most cards plus Apple Pay & Google Pay). The cashiers will then issue an official Trust Receipt which you should send to travel@nuh.nhs.uk. We can then set up the pass for you

I recently brought a tram pass, can I cancel and buy this?

Tramlink has asked that we prohibit the sale of the £300 passes to those who cancel their existing passes with the sole intent of purchasing the new pass.

When is the pass available till?

The pass will be available for purchasing over 6 months between March and September.

What if I want to cancel this pass?

Unfortunately all sales of the £300 pass will be final and non-refundable. We understand that circumstances change however due to the nature of the discount we are not able to receive any money back on the sale. If you do not think you will need a 12 month pass you can still purchase a 3 month ticket for £155 (£51.67 a month) or a 6 month ticket for £290 (£48.33 a month).

Please be aware the 3 and 6 month passes are only available for staff members directly employed by NUH.

I was told the pass would be available to purchase for a year-

Back in November we sent out a survey to gauge interest in this offer. In this we said the plan was for the passes to be sold over a 12 month time period, however unfortunately at this time the £300 pass will only be available for purchasing between March and August. This was a requirement stated by the tram operators and it is not something NUH has any influence over.

We understand your frustration however if the scheme is successful and we sell all of the tickets we will be in a position to extend this offer for a further 6 months.

When can this pass be used?

The pass can be used as many times over a 12 month period (from date of purchase) as you like. You do not need to use it solely for commuting to work.

How do I activate the pass?

Once approved for a tram pass we will email you a code and a link where you can fill in your details for the pass to be posted to your address.

If you would rather have the pass as an online pass (e.g. on your phone) please let us know and we can arrange this for (email travel@nuh.nhs.uk)

Does this allow me to park at park and ride sites?

Yes, with a tram pass you are able to park at all park and ride sites owned by NET. A list of these sites can be found here Park and Ride (thetram.net)

I have more questions, who should I email?

If you have any more questions please email travel@nuh.nhs.uk
