WELCOME TO ST. LUCY SCHOOL!
At St. Lucy School, we combine over 68 years of academic excellence with an amazing Catholic community that helps each child reach their greatest potential. St. Lucy is home to over 300 students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. We are located 5 minutes from the heart of historic downtown Campbell, situated next to St. Lucy Parish Church on a fully enclosed large and expansive campus. Every day our students develop skills for life through faith-development, challenging academics, leadership opportunities, and service to others.
We are proud of our strong tradition of partnering with families to help each student shine. Our faculty is experienced and nurturing, and our teaching style is comprehensive. Specialty teachers for science, Spanish, art, music, physical education, and resource support student growth. Students benefit from a dedicated instructional aide in each grade from Pre-K-5, and additional aides in Pre-K, Kindergarten and Resource. Our excellent academic program is enriched with co-curricular opportunities, extra-curriculars and a rich calendar of family friendly events and activities each month. Student well-being is important, and we implement Second Step curriculum, which is a program rooted in social-emotional learning (SEL) that helps transform schools into supportive, successful learning environments uniquely equipped to help children thrive.
St. Lucy School is a single section school, which means that we have one class per grade in Pre-K - 8th grade. This makes for a close, intimate experience for our students, teachers and families as they “grow up” together here, regardless of whether you began in Pre-K or joined our Lightning family along the way. Everyone is welcomed at St. Lucy and each child is known and cared for.
A peek into our classrooms reveals organized comfortable spaces, integrated technology, and evidence of a passion for learning by both teachers and their students. The classrooms are large and well lighted, with plenty of space for displaying student work. The hallways reflect the spirit of the school through exhibits of student work, special projects, and elements of the liturgical calendar and school religious celebrations. We enjoy several dedicated spaces that enrich learning in particular subjects such as science, art, reading and technology.
Please take some time to get to know us even better by exploring our virtual classroom pages, hearing from our teachers, watching our videos, and learning more about life as a Lightning family. Don't hesitate to reach out to us with any follow up questions. No question is too small. Email us at admissions@stlucyschool.org or call (408) 871-8023.
