COMMUNICATIONS WITH PARENTS

The school is fully committed to implementing and demonstrating behaviour that guarantees sustainable development. In view of the importance of electronic communication, it is fundamental for parents to update their information in the School Extranet or in the App, indicating the email address they use regularly.

The school assumes that information sent to the parent's mailbox has been received and reviewed by them. Contact staff emails are listed in the "Information for Parents" document, available on the school's Extranet and App. School staff will respond to emails promptly.   Messages received outside of working hours will be reviewed the next day.  Also, messages sent during holidays and weekends will be replied to upon return to work.

The School encourages constant and open communication with parents, so if an appointment with a teacher is required, parents should contact the Section Secretary in charge of coordinating appointments. You will be able to find the emails in the School's App.

It is important to follow the communication channels according to the subject to be discussed. It is requested to initially contact the Form Teacher or class teacher before making an appointment with the Head of Section.

To contact the Form Teacher or the Section Secretary, you can do so via the App, or by email.

Digital Bulletin

The Digital Bulletin is the main method of written communication with parents, and can be accessed through the school's App. Communications from the Head and Section Heads are published in this bulletin on a bi-weekly basis or when necessary.

These communications are also sent to parents by email.

Parents may receive emails from teachers, Form Teachers or Heads of Section on particular issues at any time. These will only be sent by email and will not be included in the Digital Bulletin.

Parents are responsible for reading the Digital Bulletin and the communications they receive by e-mail carefully so that they are aware of the activities in which their daughters will be involved and other important news.

Extranet

On the Extranet,  which can be accessed through the school's website, with the assigned username and password there is information on various topics that parents are encouraged to read:

In addition, during the matriculation period, the enrolment module can be accessed and must be completed within the established deadlines.

Talks and meetings for parents

During the year there are specific meetings with parents to present important issues of the section and to discuss the performance and progress of the pupils. The school also organises parents' meetings with teachers, where they can discuss the development of the pupils in the specific courses.

Parents are also offered various talks on topics of interest related to the pupils, some of which are led by our teachers or psychologists or by external speakers.

The meetings are reported through the Digital Bulletin and are published in the App calendar, which is also available through the Extranet.

Other communication channels

Depending on the student's grade, or the activities they carry out, the school may ask parents to utilise certain additional communication tools or applications.

PCRs

The communication system established with APAFA's Parent Communication Representatives (PCRs) aims to reach as many people as possible through a single PCR, making it easier for general information to be disseminated quickly and easily, especially in the event of an emergency. The PCR communication system is created by the APAFA committee at the beginning of each year.
