Gun Reform

I strongly support the Second Amendment. The government should not be telling the Chesapeaken people what guns they should have and what guns they are not allowed to have. Gun bans, simply put, are unconstitutional. However, I do believe in Red Flag Laws and basic background checks. This ensures that people with violent histories or mental illness do not acquire such guns to do terrible deeds with. It is a shame that such regulation is necessary, however, in this day and age, we must do all we can to protect the American people without infringing on their rights as American citizens. I plan to introduce legislation to do just that, with an additional training requirement for every person to ensure that no one accidentally harms themselves with their own guns.
