The High Achievers make "robotic hands". The GCSU Academic Outreach team facilitated this activity. The objective was to learn how hand joints and tendons work in unison.

HAP Group Leader, Ms. Neveah Jones, facilitates an activity in preparation for the Summer 2026 Apprenticeship Program. The group explored various "on-the-job" scenarios to increased the job preparedness of our participants. Selected participants practiced public speaking as they stood before the group and read different scenarios for discussion.
The High Achievers, collaborating with CREATE, The High Achievers and Mr. Greg Barnes of CREATE used AI technology to create this video to promote physical activity. They will participate in the 2026 Art Healthy Festival at GCSU.
For Spring Break 2026, the High Achievers learn about academic programs offered the secondary education level and enjoy bouncing around at a trampoline park. The group toured Central Georgia Technical College (Warner Robins campus) and Fort Valley State University. They had the opportunity to experience a job fair at CGTC. They also visited Xtreme Air Mega Park for fun and games.

The High Achievers study Newton's Laws of Motion with hands-on activities facilitated by the GCSU Academic Outreach team.
The High Achievers work with the Georgia College Outdoor Center for team-building activities. The youth will use the acquired skills during the Summer Apprenticeship Program.
The High Achievers received some important life lessons from the various dynamic presenters at the 2026 DFCS/PCS Youth Summit in Columbus, GA.

The High Achievers visited the Alaha' Ndem Community Garden. Mr. Fidelis Folifac, Jr. facilitated this activity as the group ate fruit and raw vegetables, planted various vegetables, did de-weeding, and learned about food sustainability to combat food insecurity.

Mrs. Tracy Butts, GCSU Psychology Lecturer, visited the program and shared her life and employment experiences with the High Achievers. She focused on her knowledge of psychology with her experiences at Central State Hospital.
