About Our Volunteer Group

Our volunteer group has translated a number of mental health materials to facilitate the delivery of evidence-based treatment services to people of Ukrainian background. This reflects our values and commitment to creating accessible resources to promote mental well-being and support the health of people in our world.

We believe in the importance of ensuring equal access to quality mental health care for all individuals, regardless of their cultural background. By translating these materials, we have taken a step towards creating more accessible and useful treatment options for the Ukrainian people.

Our work aims to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and provide information that can help people of Ukrainian background find appropriate support and assistance. We are dedicated to the principles of effective, evidence-based therapy and believe that access to these resources can improve the quality of life and well-being within the Ukrainian community.

We worked with materials created by the following organizations:

The Centre for Clinical Interventions http://cci.health.wa.gov.au/

National Child Traumatic Stress Network https://www.nctsn.org/

Cognitive Behavior Therapy Resources Getselfhelp http://getselfhelp.co.uk/

The Center for Prolonged Grief, Columbia University  https://prolongedgrief.columbia.edu/professionals/complicated-grief-professionals/overview/

The Therapist Aid https://www.therapistaid.com/

Dr. Kristin Neff's Self-Compassion Website https://self-compassion.org/

Positive Psychology Resources https://positivepsychology.com/

Some of these materials you can find on this site. Other materials can be found by following the links to the authors' websites.

Additionally, some materials were created by Alexandra Froese, M.Ed., R.Psych. (SK, Canada) and posted on this website for easier access by the public and professionals.

The materials prepared by our group are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for proper diagnosis, treatment, or consultation with a mental health professional. While every effort has been made to edit and ensure the accuracy of the information, it cannot be guaranteed that the information is free of errors or omissions.
