In this personal account, author Justin Ashley discusses his experience as an educator and how occupational burnout effected him in both his professional life, and his personal life. Throughout this book Justin provides his readers with easy to follow steps, and tips and tricks to both prevent, and alleviate educator burnout. While this book is not specifically written for special educators I truly feel that the contents of this literature resource resonates with all educators.

This book, written by a veteran public school teacher discusses the seriousness of the educator burnout issue. Throughout the pages of this book author John Spencer provides a practical plan for educators to follow in order to prevent educator burnout and help keep teachers in the field doing what they love.

Happy Teachers Change the World

Authors : Thich Nhat Hanh & Katherine Weare
This book is a great literature resource that discusses the use of mindfulness as a stress management strategy. The authors of this book discuss how educators can use mindfulness for both personal stress management, as well as how to utilize mindfulness within the classroom environment with students. Many educators who experience burnout symptoms find that the practice of mindfulness does help when looking to alleviate their symptoms.
