Confirmation 2023
Confirmation Preparation Classes: October 28 AND November 18, 2023 9:00-11:00. Children and a parent/guardian must attend both classes. Please bring indoor shoes, colouring stuff and a glue stick.
Your child must celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation prior to confirmation: Father make a special date and time just for our kids: Saturday, December 2 @ 10:30 at St. Dominic Church. You arrive, your child confesses, you leave (liturgy does not take place). Your child should what s/he would always wear to reconcilaiton; 'everyday' clean, decent clothes.
If you are absolutely unable to make this time work:
the best plan is to celebrate mass on Dec 2 (6:00 St. Dom) or Dec 3 (10:00 Assumption). Arrive at least 15 minutes early as Father ALWAYS hears confessions at this time. Consider calling the office during the week to let Father know he can expect you.
ask Father for a special time between Thursday (Dec 1) and Monday (Dec 4) by calling the Parish Office.
If your child received the Sacrament of Reconiiation on a day other than Dec 2, it is your responbility to let the Sacrmamental Prep team know that this has happened; otherwise we assume you didn't make arrangements and we need to book a last minute time with Father, which is stressful for everyone!
Celebration of Confirmation: Tuesday. December 5, 2023 6:30 @ St. Dominic Church
Please plan to have your child arrive by 6:10. The rest of your party can arrive closer to 6:30 if you prefer.

Please recall that your child must have already had the sacrament of Reconciliation to be eligible for confirmation. In the Diocese of St. Paul, children generally receive confirmation in Grade 3 or above. Please contact MaryAnne should you have questions (780) 594-6428.
