Preparation Calendar

For your convenience, click the link to see all dates on a google calendar. Dates are subject to change and your volunteer team will endeavour to update the calendar regularly. While it is recognized that not all children attend Lakeland Catholic, the bulk do so the "no school" days are on this calendar"; we choose to place classes on weekends when families are less likely to be away because they had Friday off.

What should my child wear for any of the Sacramental Celebrations?

REQUIRED: truly, the only requirements are:

clothing that is clean, in good repair (no rips, for example) and appropriate for mass (no tummy showing, for example)
shirts must not have writing, pictures or logos on them; a plain t-shirt is fine and does not need to have a collar
footwear they can walk and stand comfortably in

But what about a traditional black suit/white dress .....?

You are welcome to dress your child AS YOU WISH, as long as it follows the above guidelines.
Please do not feel that you need to buy something new/fancy. In our experience, children wear all kinds and outfits ranging from casual to formal and they all experience the true joy of the Sacrament.
Of course your child is welcome to wear a suit, a traditional white dress and/or whatever your family and culture deem appropriate!
Girls are NOT required to wear a dress/skirt.
