The Izzak Walton League of America (IWLA) prides itself, first and foremost, as a membership organization of active and dedicated volunteer conservationists who work to protect and restore the country's natural resources--at the local, state, and national levels.
When joining a local IWLA chapter, members gain access to numerous and varied volunteer opportunities within their very own communities. For instance, the Southern Brown Conservation Club (SBCC) plants trees, constructs birdhouses, hosts handicapped fisheries, sponsors youth and family conservation programs, performs wildlife habitat restoration projects, participates in invasive species removal projects, and much more.
Though there undoubtedly exist numerous modalities by which one might meaningly support the League, perhaps the most central route to collaboratively achieving our mission is by becoming a member of your local IWLA chapter yourself. In order to best meet the unique needs and interests of its valued members, each chapter promotes various levels of membership--ranging from individual- and youth-, to family-style memberships.
Dues, most all of which are tax-deductible, support the work of the local chapter, state division, and national organization. Specific categories of membership and their respective dues, effective for 2018, are as follows:
