The meeting will take place on Monday and Tuesday, 14th and 15th September 2020
11th September 2020
During the meeting I propose we use the following format:
While the speaker is giving their paper, all other participants should be muted.
For the discussion, participants can signal that they would like to ask a question by using the Chat facility and sending a message either to the Chair or to the whole group. It may be difficult just to spot someone waving a hand or a finger at their webcam.
The Chair will call on people to ask questions in turn. Once called, you can un-mute yourself to ask the question.
Please bear with us if there are any technical difficulties on the day.
Looking forward to 'seeing' you all on Monday.
Myrto and James

2020 MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION FOR ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY
The ongoing pandemic prevents us from meeting in Cambridge in person this year. However, we are going to be able to arrange an online version of the meeting with presentations and Q&A sessions being available via Zoom. In order to make sure we have sufficient coverage for the number of interested participants, can arrange the schedule, and send the necessary email invitations to all participants, please take a minute to complete a very brief survey using this link:

7th July 2020
We have just been informed that Selwyn College has cancelled our provisional booking for accommodation and meals for the 2020 SAAP meeting, scheduled to take place in Cambridge on 14 and 15 September.
This is perhaps not a surprise but we are nevertheless disappointed that we are not going to be able to meet in-person this year.
We have been in contact with our speakers and are in the process of trying to arrange an online event instead of the usual meeting. We will of course circulate details of those arrangements as soon as we can.
Anyone who has already made a booking should receive a refund very soon. Please let us know if you hear nothing in the next couple of weeks and we will see what we can do.
In the meantime, we hope that you are all well and are looking forward to a pleasant summer.
