In this course you will learn how to use Wayground (formerly Quizizz) to build engaging assignments and gamify learning. The course consists of 5 self-paced learning modules:
Module 1: Overview of Wayground (Interface and Features)
Module 2: Assessment
Module 3: Other Wayground Resources: Presentation, Video, Passage, Flashcards
Module 4: Managing, Assigning, and Launching Activities
Module 5: Top Wayground Features

Each module has 2 components:
Learning Materials: You will review the provided content which will cover the basic skills you need to know relevant to each module's objective.
Module Quiz: A short quiz where you will demonstrate understanding of key module content.
At the end of the course, you will complete and submit a final project where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your learning by applying what you learned and creating a Wayground activity for use with your students.
You can progress through the course at your own pace, although it is recommended that you plan to complete 1-2 modules per week.
All module quizzes must be successfully completed 2 days prior to the posted course end date. Module quizzes will stop accepting responses on this date.
The Final Project must be submitted by the posted course end date in MLP/Frontline.
No partial course completion hours will be given for this class. Final participant grades will be recorded as Attended, Incomplete, or Absent. Extensions will not be given.
Where do I find the Module Quizzes? Each module page has a link to the Module Quiz.
What is the password for the Quizzes? Each quiz is password protected so that only those currently enrolled in the course can access the quiz. You will need the password found in the course welcome email to access the Module 1 quiz. The password for the remaining quizzes will be provided at the end of the Module 1 quiz. Please do not share these passwords with others.
What if I don’t get a 100 on the module quiz? In order for a module to be marked complete, you must receive a 100 on the module quiz (i.e. 50/50, 80/80, etc). After you submit the module quiz, you will be able to see your score, including the questions you got correct and incorrect. If you didn’t get a 100, review the material you missed, then go back and take the quiz again. If you have to attempt the quiz more than 2 times in order to score a 100, this is a clear sign that you do not know the module material and should consider spending more time reviewing the material or email me for help.
How will you know when I complete a module quiz? Each time a quiz is submitted, I receive an alert. Once you get a 100, you can move on to the next module. There will be no need to notify me.
How can I check my progress throughout the course? You can check your progress throughout the course on the Course Progress page. In the Progress Tracker you will be identified by your initials. If you prefer to be identified by a more random identifier please reach out to me and I will make the update. Additionally, if you prefer not to be included at all, let me know and I will remove your initials. You can keep track on your own using the response receipts you receive via email after each quiz submission.

What happens after I finish the course? Once you have received a 100% on all modules quizzes and turned in the final project, I will send you a confirmation that you have completed the course. I will not be able to mark you as attended in My Learning Plan until the official end date of the course. At that time, you will then have to fill out a course evaluation. Once done, the course will show as complete. You will be able to print your certificate when your attendance is confirmed by Model Schools. Please note that attendance verification is not automatic and can take up to two weeks after the class ends. You will receive an email from Frontline when your certificate is ready to download or print. After the course ends, how do I access my work? Submitted quizzes will be accessible in your email. (Each time you submit a quiz, you will be emailed a copy of your responses.) Despite the course ending, you will continue to be able to access learning materials on the course website. As long as I am teaching this course, I will update the site with the current information.
What happens if the course end date arrives and I have not finished the course? You will be marked Absent or Incomplete. You can re-enroll if the course is offered again in the future and resume where you left off.
