Anything or any situation on a landscape plan that is repeated or replicated a number of times throughout the plan should be covered thoroughly at some point on the detail sheet.
In park or play ground areas where drinking fountains, lights or benches are repeated throughout the site plan, it is essential to show a typical detail for each of these consecutive elements. Each time one of these is to be installed, the standard detail can be used as a reference. The site designer or office administrator should evaluate the cost effectiveness of extensive detailing against providing additional supervision in the cases of doubt or question, it is far better to have too many details than to have too few and to cover the project more completely rather than in a sketchy or in a limited way.
This concept insures the actual construction of the design will be in conformance with the thought or philosophy of the original site designer to the extent possible.
