Planned Unit Development

A Planned Unit Development (PUD), is both a type of building development as well as a regulatory process. A PUD is a designed grouping of varied and compatible land uses, such as housing, recreation, commercial centers, and industrial parks, all within one contained development or subdivision.

Wildlife Restoration Plan

The habitat is a combination of food, water, shelter, and space arranged to meet the needs of wildlife. Even a small yard can be landscaped to attract birds, butterflies, beneficial insects, and small animals. Trees, shrubs, and other plants provide shelter and food for wildlife. The plants used for food and cover will help determine the wildlife species attracted to the backyard. Nesting boxes, feeders, and watering sites can be added to improve the habitat.

There are many benefits of establishing a stand of native warm season grasses. In addition to being useful as a form of conservation cover or as a forage crop, native grasses are beneficial to wildlife populations. All species of wildlife have certain basic requirements. These include food, water, cover, space, and arrangement. Native grasses provide both cover and foods for many wildlife species, with warm season grass mixtures providing the most benefits. Properly managed fields provide nesting, protective cover, undisturbed nesting sites, insect populations for food, and open travel under a tall grass canopy.
