About: Microsoft Teams is a communication tool/learning management system. In this instance, it will be used solely as a communication tool. Teams allows students and teachers to communicate via individual, group, team, and whole school chats. "Microsoft Teams is the chat-based workspace in Office 365 Education. Teams brings people, conversations and content—along with the tools schools need—together in one place so they can easily collaborate to achieve more. Because it’s built on Office 365, faculty, teachers and students benefit from integration with their familiar Office 365 apps and services. Communication Tool Selection Criteria:
Quality Criteria: Microsoft Teams is a quality communication tool because it can not only allow chat features but can allow users to make video and audio calls, host video meetings, and allow users to share their screens and present to meeting participants. Teams is a quality tool because it does not require users to sign up or create an account; users will use their educational domain accounts that have already been set up. Meetings can also be launched via embedded links in Buncees or OneNote pages.

About: The Google for Education Workspace allows teachers and students to collaborate in real-time in each Workspace tool including: Docs, Slides, Sheets, Jamboard, Calendar, and Keep. Resources can also be uploaded as PDFs and/or Word documents and shared amongst students and teachers to be collaborated on.

About: Microsoft OneNote is so much more than a note-taking tool. It can be used to encourage student critical thinking by allowing them to showcase their work in a digital portfolio setting. They can also use OneNote as a digital binder to house resources that they are working on or using for reference.
"It really is up to the teacher to use the tool to it's potential to increase collaboration, critical thinking, creation, etc. It could just become a digital text book, which is useful, but OneNote can do so much more than that. We really ended up using it as a mini Learning Management System-putting bell work, assessments, and assignments in the sections and discussion posts in the collaboration space. The students end up with a cool "digital portfolio" at the end of the year..." (C., n.d.).
