Lispy Librarian Consulting is made up of one awesome person: Stephanie Galvan Russell!
Stephanie Galvan Russell is an Innovative Learning Specialist, Educational Technology Specialist, and Former Middle School Librarian in Austin, TX.
She serves as Past-Chair on the Texas Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List Committee, Tx Intellectual Freedom Committee, Media Virtual Presence Committee, and was the 2018 YART Young Adult Reading Incentive and TASL Media Virtual Presence Honorary Award Winner for her blog, The Lispy Librarian. Her mission is to serve her community by sharing her passion for learning and love of literacy and technology with all learners. Her passions are non-boring professional development, educational technology, and young adult literature.
Stephanie has been a speaker at Texas Library Association’s Annual Conference and Annual Assembly, Texas Computer Education Association’s Annual Conference, Region One’s Fall Media Conference, Texas Association of School Librarians’ Lunch and Learns, and in many school districts’ professional developments. She was also a two-time nominee for Austin ISD’s Librarian of the Year award and a nominee for both TLA and TCEA’s Librarian of the Year awards.
Stephanie received her MLS degree from Sam Houston State University, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, and is currently enrolled as a Doctoral Student in the Instructional Systems Design and Technology program at Sam Houston State University. Stephanie is a Texas Certified School Librarian as well as Certified Teacher with ESL endorsement.
