Employees will be offered the opportunity to work from campus rather than home to use the campus Wi-Fi. Students with no home internet connection will be checked out a hot spot for internet connection.
During a Student Survey at the beginning of the school year, students shared whether they had dependable internet connections/wi-fi at home. Students who stated that they did NOT were checked out hot spots that were given to RMS through a grant.
All Students were checked out Chromebooks at the beginning of the school year as part of a 1:1 grant.
Employees were also given Windows Surface laptops for work use.
These devices (student Chromebooks, teacher Surfaces, and hot spots) were given to the school through a
Version grant that allowed schools to have 1:1 devices and home connectivity.
These devices have been added to RMS's library circulation system and are managed through the same system. When students have Chromebook issues or teachers have any computer issues, they submit a help ticket through the Help Center in the Student & Staff Online Portal and the campus Tech will collect the devices, repair them, and return them within 10 business days.
Each RMS student and teacher are provided a device. (Students receive Chromebooks and teachers received Windows Surface laptops.) Hotspots are also checked out to students with unreliable internet connections at home. These hot spots provide up to 15 GP of data per month.

Any accessibility issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Students with IEPs, BIPs, or 504s will have virtual ARD meetings and updates. These students will also meet weekly with their case managers to communicate any needs.
Teachers will use Canvas as a Learning Management System. RMS also has a Community Course that all parents, teachers, students, and community members can be added to for school information and updates.
Canvas offers a help-line for teachers and students that is specific to RMS. Canvas is paid for by the school district and is budgeted for annually by the Finance department.
Staff meetings will be conducted weekly via Zoom. Meeting notes will be posted in the RMS Teacher Canvas Course and e-mailed out for individual review.
