Expert in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship & Public Policy, Dr. R.K. Mitra has vast experience after having served Government of India since joining Civil Services in 1984. He has handled several key projects that include: Special Economic Zones, Indian Visa and Immigration, Police training and administrative matters of CAPFs (Armed Forces of the Union of India). He has extensively worked on e-governance from public policy and strategic management perspective Dr. Mitra hold a Doctor of Philosophy in the area of egov from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) which he completed in 2004. Prior to that he obtained MBA from IIT Delhi in 2000. His interest in academics kept him affiliated as Visiting Professor to several institutions in the country viz. IIITM Gwalior, LBS Institute of Management, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Rohtak. He delivers invited and guest lectures at several B Schools. Being a civil servant, he has a vast deposit of practical exposure to strategy as well as public policy and governance. He authored of several research articles published in leading international journals of repute (e.g Government Information Quarterly with Impact Factor: 2.515(2015). 5 Year Impact Factor: 2.2632.0). He has also edited a book ‘E-government: Macro issues’.
