Based off of my Dungeon and Dragons character, Took is a rogue with his trusted raven sidekick, Croak. Took is inspired by the charcter Bard from the Hobbit movies, having a hometown much like Lake Town.
Nargoth, despite being a paladin, follows a dark power that promises him all truth. This endless well of knowledge though leads many to insanity, but in his pursuit he champions as the first dedicated warrior of this god to spread their wisdom to the naïve.
To the left is his first concept, inspired by a generated moodboard and prompt as a character design challenge. His design evolved as well as his story, and above is his new finalized design alongside a fitting prop. To the right is a puppeted animation done in Toon Boom Harmony.
Khai is a half-dragon who lives off the wealth of his father's hoard (a true dragon) but offers his coin in aid of the dreams of his friends, reveling in the passion to their success.
Terrowin has quite the lengthy tale that I'm currently in the process of not only transcribing but possibly working towards a comic to showcase his story.
Despite looking the way he does, he secretly is a changeling and a practicing witch, cursed by his own talent in divination to continuously have jumbled visions and false fates.
Here is my sketch and color tests I did with Terrowin to really find the feel of what would best represent him as a character.
This was one of the first explorations I did of my character Terrowin. He originally started as a more rogue-ish individual, less reliant on magic. I ended up completely taking his character in a 180 and focusing his design and story on magic as his current plotline didn't feel like it fitted him or what I felt he needed to be.
