Safety Manual Overview
This Safety Manual provides essential guidelines to help ensure the well‑being of every youth in our seminary programs. Because teaching environments vary—some classes meet in church buildings while others meet in homes—not every training will apply equally to every teacher. Some topics, such as abuse reporting, are relevant for everyone, while others, like natural‑disaster procedures, may apply only in certain regions.
Teachers are encouraged to review this manual each year to stay familiar with current safety protocols and expectations. It also includes instructions for reporting safety concerns and offers additional resources to support you in creating a safe, prepared learning environment.
Additional Safety Training Video
Every teacher is required to complete the annual Safety/Emergency Response Training. If you teach at a home, you only need to watch the first half of the video. The second half of the video is only for those who teach at a church building.
Suicide Prevention Slide Overview
This slideshow provides an additional resource for S&I educators on supporting suicide prevention efforts. It offers principle‑based guidance, clear doctrinal context, and thoughtful suggestions for addressing this sensitive topic in a safe, compassionate, and appropriate way. The material is designed to help educators respond with care, recognize concerns, and connect individuals to proper support when needed. Please refer to official Church resources for further instruction and guidance.
