The Learn and Apply Principles of Acquiring Spiritual Knowledge section should take the majority of the time in the Doctrinal Mastery Practice lessons.
Doctrinal mastery learning experiences have been included in the curriculum to help students accomplish the doctrinal mastery outcomes. The outcomes fall in two categories:
Students learn the principles of acquiring spiritual knowledge (the top half of the circle)
Students master the doctrine taught in the DM passages through learning experiences (bottom half of the circle)
These learning experiences help equip students with the skills to navigate challenging questions and circumstances with faith in Jesus Christ.
A: Act in faith
S: Seek further understanding through divinely appointed sources
K: Keep an eternal perspective while examining concepts and questions
Teach students to follow these principles as they seek to learn and understand eternal truth and to resolve questions or issues. These principles are taught and practiced in the Doctrinal Mastery lessons.
