Students can use technology tools to engage in learning in ways that were seemingly impossible a few years ago. Students have almost unlimited access to tools that can help them learn. Students also have access to a large authentic audience when using technology to access content and information and share their learning.
Schools have been considered dull institutions where students are expected to behave all the same (see the Ken Robinson video). However, the 21st Century is beginning to see schools become places for students to embrace and explore their creativity in order to learn. Teachers and students are implementing tools intended to be used outside of the classroom in the classroom to enhance students learning and discovery. The following chart provides some examples of tools being used creatively in the classroom.
