Hello! My name is Dr. Sławomir K. Tadeja, and I am a Postdoctoral Associate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I presently work on research and innovation in learning technologies for manufacturing workforce development within the MIT LEAP Group.

Rather than relying on isolated, rigid control interfaces, my research investigates how environmental factors, such as the intense cognitive load, sensory disruption, and volatile physical hazards found on live factory floors and clinical surgery theatres, directly affect human-machine teaming. By understanding these environmental and cognitive pressures, I use automation solutions, including collaborative robots, robotic manipulators, and autonomous mobile units, to transform rigid, caged industrial tasks into fluid, multi-directional collaborative environments that dynamically modulate robotic behaviours.
