At SLAKE, our goal is to support schools and district leaders to implement an ambitious and coherent vision that highlights and celebrates the brilliance of all students and families.

We engage with your team to understand your organization's values, context, strengths, and challenges. Together we craft a plan catered to your specific needs. Support may include systems review, portfolio design, leadership coaching, or facilitation. The SLAKE team is uniquely qualified to identify your core values and help ensure that your strategic plan not only demonstrates those values but meets and surpasses your goals within an equity framework.

The SLAKE team will partner with you to select the supports that match your organization's needs. Together we will design a comprehensive plan that outlines supports, deliverables, outcomes, and investment. Each plan will include various checkpoints to review progress with organizational leaders in order to make necessary adjustments.

If any of the services we offer are not a strong match for your organization, we can work to build a presentation outlining additional support options for your review.

Our Beliefs

• We believe that students must drive our decision making and, whenever possible, authentically contribute to school and district planning. Student participants should be diverse and represent our communities.
  

• We believe that communities and organizations hold the brilliance, innovation, and initiative to tackle any challenge. We also know that outside coaching, facilitation, planning, and support can be helpful tools during that journey.
  

• We believe that the COVID pandemic and the increased recognition of the racial pandemic have highlighted the complex and immense responsibility schools carry while they serve our students. In many cases, these pandemics have also increased political pressure while reducing both financial and human support, connection, and problem solving. The SLAKE team can help school and district leaders ensure a coherent, thoughtful, equitable approach to recovery and beyond.
