Release-time seminary is taken during school hours as part of your student's schedule and is our best option for getting credit for seminary (80% credit rate). Enrollment is done during arena scheduling or through a counselor at the school. Many students comment on how seminary provides a nice break from school and gives them a spiritual boost during their day as they study the scriptures, find principles and doctrines, and receive revelation that helps them in their personal lives. We do allow friend requests during release-time seminary; you can find more about that here.
Seminary will be a spiritually strengthening experience for those who are willing and wanting to succeed by doing the following:
First - show up on time; The seminary gives an additional 2 minutes for students to make the long walk over from the school so they can be on time. When you get to seminary, be a friend by smiling and getting to know other students in your class before class begins. Finally, while in seminary, seek to learn by the Holy Ghost as you avoid distractions, follow along with the lesson in your own paper scriptures, and participate in the lesson by asking/answering questions, recording thoughts and impressions in your journals, and being willing to pray or read with the class.
