75% attendance with no unexcused absences is one of three requirements for credit for seminary. You will need to complete attendance make-up work if:
your attendance is below 75% (even if all absences are excused)
you have any unexcused absences (even if your attendance is above 75%
Your teacher or the administrative assistant can let you know how many days you need to make up. Faculty contact information can be found here.
Because we are on an A/B block schedule in the Alpine School district, we essentially teach two lessons for each day that we meet in class. Thus, for every day of make-up that you need to do, you will need to complete two (2) worksheets. Each worksheet should take approximately 20-minutes to complete (i.e. you will spend 40-50 minutes/day missed). Let this be a meaningful experience: take some time, respond thoughtfully, mark and annotate your scriptures, and be ready to show your teacher the things you marked.
To make up work for low attendance or for any unexcused absence, find out from your teacher which book of scripture and how many days you need to complete (remember 1 day = 2 worksheets) then click on the link below and do the following:
Locate the book of scripture you need to do make-up work for and click on the appropriate folder (e.g. Book of Mormon 1st half, or Old Testament 2nd half etc.).
Choose and print the number of PDF worksheets that you need to complete (or select the worksheets your teacher assigned you).
Read the scripture chapter identified at the top of the worksheet. If specific verses are identified, you still need to read the whole chapter.
Follow the instructions on the worksheet, read the quotes and other scriptures, and complete all questions and activities in your own handwriting.
Turn in your completed worksheets to your teacher. They will review your responses and determine if the makeup standard has been met and record it on your transcript.
