The following is an in-depth guide for the final area of Metroid.

There's a ton of Metroids floating around in this around this area.

The only way to defeat this is to first freeze it, then defeat it with 5 missiles. If they attach to you, then roll into a ball and bomb until they detach and then defeat them. For some of these, you'll have to just freeze them and run past it. Go to the bottom of the shaft and missile the door and go through. Go to the right of this room and missile the red door. Go to the bottom of this shaft and go through the red door. If you go back and forth through the door you can defeat the metroids and gain a lot of health and missiles. Go to the left of this room and go through the door to enter a fight with Mother Brain, Cannons, Rinkas and Zebetites.

Here, there are a set of Zebetites that you have to destroy. They quickly regenerate, so you have to defeat them with missiles quickly. Eventually you'll reach the final Zebetite. Once you destroy it, stand on the right side of the spot it used to be. Keep shooting at Mother Brain, while also shooting at any Rinkas that come from above. This means that you only have to step off of the platform when Rinkas come from the bottom, letting you get more hits on the creature. Eventually, the creature will get destroyed. Go to the left, and you'll reach a tall shaft. You have a limited amount of time, but it's incredibly generous. The strategy is to jump and then move in the air to more accurately land on the platforms. If you fall, try and land on one of the platforms so you don't have to go back up as far. Go up the elevator to beat the game!
