Meeting clearance requirements and watching the training modules are fundamental aspects of preparing for Training Day. As a Health Scholar, compliance with these requirements is imperative, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the material and the knowledge necessary to contribute meaningfully to the program's objectives. All requirements must be up to date and completed before you begin shifting.
Clearance Items- Set to be worked on before Training Day
All submissions must include the scholar's name, vaccine name, and date received
1. MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) (2 doses)
2. Hepatitis B Vaccination Series (3 doses)
3. Tuberculosis test (3 options either 2 PPD Skin Tests or 1 Quantiferon Blood Test). **Please note: Chest X-ray might be needed if a False Positive is detected in the skin test, otherwise either a skin or blood test will be accepted.**
4. TDAP (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis) (whooping cough)(1 dose, expires every 10 years)
5. Varicella (2 doses)
6. COVID 19 + Booster (2x Moderna/Pfizer with Booster or 1x J&J with booster) * No longer required but recommended*
7. American Heart Association BLS CPR/First Aid certification (Certification card or scheduled appointment)
We require certification in CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support), so please ensure the course you choose meets this requirement. You can use the following sites to find a class near you:

Training Information
In preparation for your in-person training and exams, you are required to complete the online training modules on your Salesforce account. Each module consists of a video and a competency assessment.

Where to get Vaccines from?
If you don’t have a primary doctor and need to get your vaccinations, here are a few options.
Local pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, or Rite Aid, which often provide vaccines.
County health clinics and public health departments also offer low-cost or free vaccinations. Additionally, urgent care centers may provide this service. Check online for the nearest location or call ahead to confirm availability and cost.
College/Univerisites Student Health Centers offer Free/Low Cost vaccinations for students.
