Conduction research as a student is a daunting prospect. Many overcome the uncertainty and go on to undertake exciting projects in Bio-Medical research, Social Determinants of Health, and other interesting topic areas. This self-paced website gives step-by-step instruction on writing, design, and presentation of outstanding research posters. It includes text instructions, relevant images, best practices, video tutorials, and multiple examples from which students can draw inspiration.
Foundation for Dosage Calculation & Medication Administration

A five-unit (summer session) series on mathematics review for freshman nursing students, in preparation for their 300-level clinical and pathopharmacology coursework. Detailed and measurable learning objectives guide the flow of this course, branching scenarios, and assessments.
Introduction to World Religions

The United States is one of the most religious and religiously diverse countries in the world, and that diversity is reflected in the region, on the NDMU campus, and wherever students live and work. This course gives undergraduate learners an introduction to five major world religions in order to understand the words and doctrines that motivate practitioners, and zealots.
Graduate School Orientation (Website)
This is not strictly an online course, but an education resource that learners can peruse and use as needed. This brief video is a snippet from a longer promo video.In an innovative move, the School of Graduate Studies elected to move their day-long orientation live event to an interactive website. I created custom video and photography, web links, online forms, and tutorials which took the place of the (reportedly) tedious event. In a surprise of analytics, we found that new students continued to use the website throughout the term.
Notre Dame of Maryland University

University students, faculty and staff are required to take this online course in order to gain access to the Multimedia Studio. The Studio is easy to use and easy to get started. So, we offer a self-paced online certificate in using the equipment and software. The training takes just 30 minutes and will get the school community familiar with all tools and resources.
MD Office of Employment & Program Equity Disability Discrimination and Policy Online Learning Module

An annual, mandatory training course that must be completed by a cohort of 6,700 individuals—online or in-person. This interactive module features clearly outlined policy, explainer videos, animated scenarios, knowledge checks between modules, and a completion certificate.
Biology: Genetics & Genomics

This course considers the basics of molecular and Mendelian genetics and how they apply to human medical conditions. It uses specific examples to demonstrate general principles of human diseases and conditions with genetic causes. Learners are introduced to emerging concepts in the genetic and epigenetic causes of human disease.
APA / Scholarly Writing Course
